  2. Check before you buyEnter the item and price. You see the buy-vs-skip impact card: hours of work, % of your goal, 10-year value.
  3. Skip it, and keep itEvery skip and every $0 spend day goes into your jar. Watch your streak, and the money, add up.

Questions

Do I have to connect my bank?

No. There's no bank login, ever. You type in what you're thinking of buying. Nothing reads your accounts.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone. Your checks, goal and streaks stay on your device, and you can export or delete them any time. The app doesn't need an account to work.

Is this a budgeting app?

Not exactly. Budgeting apps look back at what you already spent. SkipJar works at the moment you're about to spend, when a pause actually changes things.

What are the food notes?

An optional extra. For coffee, snacks and takeout you can see typical calories, sugar or caffeine and a cheaper swap. They're general estimates, not medical or nutrition advice.

Is this financial advice?

No. The numbers are simple estimates to help you think about a purchase. The 10-year figure uses an illustrative 7% return, which isn't guaranteed.
